Out of Zone Application

Each year we determine the number of out of zone places which are likely to be available in the following year (if any).

Applications for enrolment are processed in the following order of priority, as per legislation (Education and Training Act 2020).

Students who:

  1. Meet the criteria for enrolment in an approved special programme run by the school. For Te Ao Mārama this is our Bilingual Te Reo Māori class *
  2. Meet the criteria of being a sibling of a current student.
  3. Meet the criteria of being a sibling of a former student.
  4. Meet the criteria of being a child of a former student.
  5. Meet the criteria of being a child of a Board employee.
  6. All other students.

*Criteria 1 is only applicable if there is space in this class
Note: for 2025, this programme is full. If you would like to be considered for 2026, please complete the google form below.

If there are more applicants than there are places available, selection is made by a ballot.

Please note: we are only currently balloting for new entrant students (students turning 5) or for those that are interested in our future waiting list for our bilingual class.

We hold regular school tours and encourage you to attend with your child. We can discuss the out of zone enrolment process at that time, and also answer any questions you may have.

Please check the School Calendar on the homepage for the tour dates, or contact the office on 07 595 0595.
